INDAGRA FOOD 2026 will bring together, for five days from October 28 to November 1, 2026, professionals, organizations, associations in the field, and new partners from agriculture, the food industry, HoReCa, education, and academia.
The program includes round tables, debates, presentations, workshops, competitions and live demonstrations, addressed to both the general public and specialized visitors interested in the trends, challenges and opportunities in the agri-food sector.
The agenda of the 2026 edition is built around various themes, ranging from gastronomy, education and professional training to agriculture, rural development, sustainability, circular economy and European funding.
Local Food Bank Sector 6, for the first time on the scene at INDAGRA FOOD
A novelty of the 2026 edition is the presence of the Local Food Bank Sector 6, which is taking the main stage for the first time. On Wednesday, October 28, between 11:00 and 12:00, the organization will support the presentation „Donate effectively, deduct intelligently”, about reducing food waste and the principles of circular economy applied in the food sector — a topic relevant to both the general public and industry operators alike.
Civitas Foundation: European funding for rural development, discussed at INDAGRA FOOD
Also for the first time, the Civitas Foundation, through the CoopNet platform, is organizing the panel „The Architecture of Financing Rural Development in the New Multiannual Financial Framework 2028-2034” on Friday, October 30, between 12:00 and 13:30.
The debate brings together European and national decision-makers, representatives of farmers, cooperatives and civil society, to discuss the priorities that will influence the development of the Romanian countryside after 2027.
Among the confirmed guests are Dragoș Pâslaru, interim Minister of Investments and European Projects (subject to maintaining the current government formula), Diego Canga Fano, interim Director-General of DG Agri at the European Commission, and Alexandra Popa, Executive Director of the Romanian Center for European Policies (CRPE).
It is a moment of major interest for specialized visitors — farmers, cooperatives, authorities and investors interested in the direction of the European funds intended for agriculture.
ANBCT and Gastro Verse: round table discussions, talks and, for the first time, thematic workshops
The National Association of Chefs and Coffee Makers in Tourism of Romania (ANBCT) remains the main partner of the Gastro Verse program and coordinates, as in previous editions, most of the agenda on the stage.
The novelty of this edition is the expansion of the educational component, through thematic workshops and demonstration moments dedicated to the younger generation of chefs and confectioners.
On Thursday, October 29, between 10:00 and 16:00, the main stage hosts the round table „Gastronomy begins in agriculture”, with representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, ANSVSA, producers and HoReCa, followed by the talks „ANBCT – present and future”, „Cookery schools, where are we going?” and „Gastronomic events, with or without chefs?”.
The ANBCT program continues on Friday, October 30, with a day dedicated to modern patisserie and confectionery (Pastry & Dessert Evolution, coordinated by Georgian Tufă).
On Saturday, October 31, it continues with Live Gastronomy Experience — demonstrations led by Chef Giani, Chef Dragoș Bercea and Chef Vasi — and concludes on Sunday, November 1, in the day dedicated to family and education, with a children’s workshop, the presentation of the ANBCT educational projects and a demonstrative training of the Romanian junior team, in preparation for the Culinary World Cup, Luxembourg.
Competitions, relevant associations and institutional partners
Romexpo also organizes the International Pizza Championship, one of the constant attractions of INDAGRA FOOD, alongside moments supported by relevant associations from the food industry: the Forum of Farmers and Professional Processors in Romania (APPR), the Association of Producers of Pork Meat in Romania (APCPR) and the Association for the Promotion of Romanian Food (APAR). The General Association of Refrigeration Technicians in Romania (AGFR) is Indagra Food’s partner in this edition.
The program also includes the presence of the Business Consulting Center and the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest (USAMV), institutional partners of the 2026 edition. Details of the events hosted by them on stage will be announced in the program supplement, as they are confirmed.
A program for two types of audiences
At INDAGRA FOOD we have, on the one hand, the general public, attracted by tastings, live culinary demonstrations and the children’s workshop, and on the other hand, specialized visitors — farmers, processors, cooperatives, representatives of the HoReCa sector, authorities and the academic community — interested in round tables and panels dedicated to European funding, culinary education and the future of the agri-food industry.
The hospitality corner in the stand serves tastings in short intervals throughout the event, without overlapping with the program on stage.
The full program of INDAGRA FOOD will be available on www.indagra-food.ro and in the ROMEXPO app.
