The market is demanding digitalization, and ROMEXPO is responding with a large-scale strategic repositioning. Starting with the 2027 edition, the METAL SHOW & TIB fair will become Digital Metal & TIB, an important step for the entire industry and a clear signal of alignment with the sector's international standards.
The decision comes from constant dialogue with exhibitors and partners from previous editions, whose market signals were clear: the metal industry can no longer be viewed separately from the digital transformation that is currently redefining production chains, maintenance, logistics, and business models globally. We have listened to this message and rethought the event concept from scratch, not just as a rebranding, but also as a fundamental repositioning of the target audience, exhibition content, and value proposition for participants.
Digital Metal & TIB It aims to become the reference platform in Romania for companies undergoing digital transformation: industrial automation, robotics, predictive maintenance, Industry 4.0, system integration, and production-specific software solutions. This is a natural alignment with the direction that major European trade fairs in the field have already adopted, and an opportunity for local players to remain competitive in an increasingly internationalized market.
A key element of the new concept is the convergence of the metal community and the TIB. The two ecosystems, complementary in nature of their activities, will operate under a single umbrella brand, with an integrated exhibition format, common thematic areas, and a networking program specifically designed to facilitate cross-industry partnerships.
„I have carefully followed the feedback from companies in the latest editions and have clearly understood the direction: the industry needs an event that speaks the language of digitalization, not just product displays. Digital Metal & TIB ”This is our answer to this need, a format built for today's company, connected, technologized, and oriented toward international standards," says Oana Netbai - Commercial Director ROMEXPO.
The rebranding actually marks the maturation of an entire exhibition segment. Digital Metal & TIB it will bring together manufacturers, technology providers, system integrators, and industry experts in a setting dedicated to innovation, knowledge transfer, and cross-sector collaboration, positioning Romania closer to the trends shaping the global industry.
The event is organized by ROMEXPO and will take place between May 11-14, 2027, ROMEXPO, Bucharest. We invite interested companies to budget their participation in advance. Digital Metal & TIB, to benefit from the best exposure conditions and optimal positioning within the new event concept.
